Altéa Self Service check-in (SSCI) is a widely popular check-in solution for airlines and ground handlers. It is used by 90+ airlines and ground handlers in production today. Self-service is increasing in importance for airlines wanting to reduce activities at the Airport. SSCI is also becoming a key merchandizing touchpoint.

It is an exciting time for SSCI, with several evolutions on both Product and Services. Our AngularJS Sunset Program has a target to evolve our new Digital Reference Experience SSCI technology stack and migrate 70+ airlines to this solution. We are working with alliance to develop a seamless check-in solution which will open new capabilities such as handling of non Altea customers on our Digital touchpoints. Air Canada continues to invest in the Services area, increasing their SSCI scope. We have also kicked-off new PSX Kiosk migration from legacy Kiosk solutions and public cloud migration.

The Teams

The teams are responsible for the development of the entire stack of all SSCI products. The product portfolio includes Web Check-in, Kiosk, Auto check-in and Digital API. The teams are highly customer facing, and responsible for designing & developing solutions that are stable end to end. A close collaboration with both Digital for Airlines and Airline & Airport Operations teams is key for the success of these teams.

Your Main Responsibilities

Overall responsible and accountable for product development and maintenance of Airline traveler touchpoints namely, Refx (web), Kiosk, Digital API

  • Responsible for 2/3 scrum team.
  • Provide timely response to stakeholders and escalations.
  • Help in enabling airlines to attain omni channel strategy.
  • Leading complete application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

  • Ensure and make sure that team follows the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
  • Must be able to manage the development and delivery aspects of the SDLC
  • Must be able to independently understand the technical and functional aspects of all activities happening in the team.
  • Must be able to clearly understand the technology already in place and apply the best practices of coding/unit testing especially in Object Oriented JavaScript, Typescript, Angular JS
  • Must have experience with API development, Microservices.
  • Must be able to deliver with in well-defined timeline
  • Must be hands-on in working on Agile/SAFe Agile, Lean Methodology
  • Accountable for supporting the end user in the Production phase by debugging existing software solutions in response to Problem Tracking Records (PTR) and Change Requests (CR).

Preferred Educational Requirements.

  • B.Tech, M.Tech/MS or PhD in CS, CE or equivalent
