The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Modelling and Simulation Specialist to join the Electronic Warfare Specialist Manning (EWSM) team in Riyadh. The role of the Modelling and Simulation (M&S) is to equip RSAF personnel with the knowledge and skills to develop an independent and indigenous Radio Frequency (RF) and Infra-Red (IR) threat engagement modelling and simulation capability. This is primarily to capture equipment operating parameters and support assessment of the effectiveness of any proposed CM techniques and tactics.

What you’ll do as a Modelling and Simulation specialist

The aims for this EWSM are to provide assistance to and mentoring of the RSAF Threat Vulnerability Assessment and Countermeasure Development (TVACD) team with

• Delivery of OJT to RSAF.
• Support to the development and maintenance of processes.
• TVACD Modelling.
• Modelling engagements using the engagement simulation toolsets available at the EWC.
• Verify model accuracy against available weapon system and equipment performance data and feedback from Operations, exercises, tests and trials.
• Updating models on receipt of new data from sources such as trials, operations or exercises.
• In addition, the post is to carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the RSAF.
  
  

What We Need From You

You really must have experience in the following

• Electrical / Electronic / Control / Systems Engineering / Physics graduate or equivalent
• Strong Software engineering skills.
• Computational Modelling and Simulation experience, Matlab/Simulink
• Configuration Management.
• Requirement and Test management.
• Software Quality Assurance
• Software Architectural design
• Industrial experience working as a design engineer or equivalent (5 Years) highly advantageous.
  
  

You really must have the following skills

• Mathematical, Physics, Control Systems, or Radar Systems background.
• Signal Processing background.
• C/C++.
• 3D Graphics integration.
• Multi thread and multi-processor integration.
• Visual Basic GUI design.
• Aerodynamics.
• Radar Design and processing.
• High Level Architecture (M&S framework).
• Knowledge of Threat Architectures (kill chains etc.). Self-motivated with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and decision making, able to work unsupervised using your own initiative
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across internal/external stakeholders at varying levels
• Good written and verbal presentation ability
• Flexible approach to working environment with the ability to work well in a team
  
  

It would be nice if you had

• Knowledge of middle eastern culture and/or military working environment
• Familiarisation with Leonardo EWOS.
