Role Introduction

Reports to: Learning Manager - Leadership & Organisation Development

The jobholder will be responsible for leading and supporting various initiatives related to onboarding, career milestone transitions, and Learning and Organisation Development (L&OD). This person plays a crucial role in driving innovation, conducting needs analysis, and providing operational support to ensure the successful implementation of learning programs and initiatives. Additionally, this person has to lead and develop the Learning Specialist, while actively engaging stakeholders across business units, regions, and Cathay Academy (CXA) teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the onboarding programs for new joiners, ensuring that new joiners achieve a good level of Organisation Understanding, Cathay Culture and a smooth and engaging integration into the organization.
  • Support corporate-wide career milestone transitions, including promotions and cross-boarding, by driving innovative approaches and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the L&OD team to design, develop, and deliver engaging and impactful learning programs that align with business objectives.
  • Independently conduct needs analysis with business units, regional stakeholders, and specific employee groups to identify learning gaps and design customer-centric solutions.
  • Drive innovation in onboarding programs, including the design and delivery of content that enhances organizational understanding and improves measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop tailored workshops and learning materials, such as instructor-led sessions, virtual instructor-led training, and e-modules, to ensure high learning effectiveness.
  • Facilitate learning programs, workshops, and sessions, ensuring high participant satisfaction and engagement (approximately 30-40% of the role).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives through post-course survey form design, data analysis, presentation of results whilst driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead, develop, and upskill the Learning Specialist, providing guidance, support, and fostering their professional growth.
  • Engage stakeholders across business units, regions, and CXA team to ensure alignment and collaboration in achieving learning and development goals.
  • Provide support for overall CXA engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct research on course design best practices and provide event support as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree holder, preferably related to education / training related discipline
  • At least 5 years working experience
  • Instructional design and adult learning facilitation experience
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • Problem solving.
  • Strong networking / influencing skills with relevant operational departments.
