Intern - BI Developer

As an intern, you will make an impact on the company by contributing to hands-on projects and department business needs. You will experience larger ongoing projects as well as short-term projects throughout the summer that make a real business impact on Sun Country’s objectives.

Responsibilities may include:

• Developing and maintaining pipelines for automated ingestion, transformation, and loading of data.
• Designing, implementing, monitoring, and optimizing data solutions for performance and reliability.
• Writing SQL queries and Python scripts.
• Working with cloud tools such as Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Database and Data Lake.
• Utilizing Power BI to visualize data for insights.
• Providing a great experience for our internal customers using our reporting and data products.
• Offering proactive solutions to improve the overall data/reporting environment at Sun Country.
• Assisting in day-to-day tasks involving management of data files, reports, team projects, and ongoing deliverables.
  
  

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college, pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in programming languages used in data engineering and data analysis, particularly Python and SQL
• Minimum sophomore status by the time the internship begins
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check
• Able to complete the full 10-week internship program (June-August 2024)

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, as well as MSP's Terminal 2 and maintenance facilities. This role routinely uses the Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
