This site is an International Centre of Excellence in composite wing structure design and production, manufacturing composite wing spars and Fixed Trailing Edge assemblies for some of the world's most popular aircrafts.

Following an internal promotion, an exciting and career defining opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join our Accounting team within the Finance department. The applicant will perform financial accounting and transaction processing and provide analysis, insight and control to the finance function across actuals, forecast and budget.

Upon completion of training, this role offers hybrid working, with the option to work 2 days per week at home.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to obtain an ACCA qualification funded by GKN upon completion of a successful probationary period.

What You Will Do

The role exists to provide partnering to functions within an area of responsibility to drive on site performance through the provision of robust financial information and by holding owners accountable for improving it.

In Addition, You'll Be Responsible For

  • Prepare and book financial data to ensure that P&L and balance sheet positions are correctly reflected in our accounts
  • Provide business partnering to site based functions – provide insight, analysis and reporting according to their requirements, and support in interpreting and acting on financial data
  • Support financial planning and budgeting
  • Provide reporting and analysis
  • Provide financial decision making support
  • Ensure that balance sheet positions are reconciled, understood, and aged or judgmental items are actioned to minimise them
  • Adhere to all financial governance requirements and support internal and external audits as required

This role would be suitable to a variety of levels and although knowledge of the above is desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Desirable

  • Experience of SAP FI/CO modules
  • Understanding of managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, pricing, business analytics and reporting;
  • Good understanding of the Aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of various MS Office packages
