Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer Intern position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing productivity, and streamlining operations within our manufacturing environment. Working closely with experienced engineers and production teams, you will analyze workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards. This role provides valuable exposure to applying industrial engineering principles in a real-world manufacturing setting, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization.

This is an on-site position
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Value Flow Analysis (time & motion studies) in areas to be determined
- Validate routing standards are up to date in SAP (time and material standards)
- Design a capacity planning tool that include raw materials, cycle times and people
- Support Site Lean Leader with flow kaizen initiatives
- Design, Implement or Recommend areas and methods for data collection
Qualification & Skills
- Understanding of lean principles of waste & flow
- Understanding of various means of engineered standards
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate between departments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio preferred
- Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- U.S Person per ITAR rgulations to compy with export compliance and site compliance
- Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facility and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30lbs, using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
