The role:

IT Asset Analyst

Overview of the role

  • Discovery and inventory of hardware, software, SaaS across cloud and on-premise environments
  • Owning and maintaining the CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
  • Relationship mapping and lifecycle mapping of all assets

People/Relationship

  • Build, develop and maintain sustainable & respectful stakeholder and wider business, cross-IT and external partner relationships.

Governance

  • Member/Invitee of the following Teams & Boards:
    • IAG Cargo Service Delivery, Governance and Assurance team, within the Service Operations and Infrastructure function
    • IAG Cargo CDIO Team

What you’ll do:

  • Management of the hardware and software product lifecycle.
  • Maintains and monitors hardware/software catalogue to ensure compliance.
  • Through a continual improvement approach, identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.
  • Track software subscriptions and licenses, working with Procurement to maintain compliance.
  • Track and manage equipment replacement cycles and processes.
  • Monitor and review software and hardware utilization and make recommendations on requirements.
  • Continually reviewing IT Asset Management processes and policies for refinement.
  • Interacts with other stakeholders as appropriate.

This role may require travel and working from multiple sites/locations. Willing and able to travel to participate in meetings, workshops, and other related activities.

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

  • Demonstrates and applies a strong understanding of IT Asset management principles.
  • Collaborative, open working, resulting in recognition as a valued partner by colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders across organization.
  • Strong administration skills and a proven track record of following defined processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Your experience:

  • Experienced in ensuring IT assets are recorded accurately within the database and information is accurate and up to date.
  • Experience recording and monitoring the expected costs and demand for IT asset and licence consumption.
  • Maintaining a record of the current and forecast consumption of IT assets and licences.
  • Provision of timely and accurate reporting on IT assets and licences recorded in the database, promoting the IT Asset Management processes.
  • Experience working in support of IT Procurement activities
  • Proven track record of working in a multi-vendor environment across regions.
  • Experience of operating across multiple countries and cultures is desirable, but not essential.
