Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a Senior Pipe & Valve Engineer, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Pay Rate -Â $85.00+ per hour
Project Overview:
The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site. This position is located 22 miles north of Richland and works a 4x10 or 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing pipe and piping component related calculations and material evaluations.
Prepare and coordinate piping and valve specifications and/or material requisitions, bid evaluations, and award recommendations.
Perform detailed supplier bid technical evaluations and supplier document reviews.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field.
9+ years of experience generating and executing material requisitions.
Demonstrated experience with ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE Registration
Previous Bechtel project experience
Previous DOD/DOE project experience
Experience with PipeWorks, TeamWorks, Bechtel Procurement System (BPS), and Non-conformance reporting tools (NCR)
