Taxation Accountant - Record to Report (Ahmedabad, India)

Qatar Airways is looking for experienced staff to join our record to report team as Taxation accountant to drive its newly established Global Business Services (GBS) operations in Ahmedabad, India.

The position will be responsible for providing support to head office tax team for tax compliance, assisting in GST audits of India along with other periodic activities & assisting Head office treasury team for reconciliation activities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing GL schedule-match & reconcile GL balance with Tax returns
• Preparing monthly tax schedules
• Reconciliation of monthly GLs schedules for all tax related GLs for all stations
• Posting tax refund entries to complete bank reconciliation process
• Passing JVs to square off balance, ROE difference & booking ineligible ITC to its underlying cost
• Checking GSTR-2 received from Head office & matching it with GL entries
• Retrieving invoices from oracle for preparation of GSTR-2 & for audit requirement
• Supporting local tax consultants by providing system documents (invoices) for tax returns purpose
• Co-ordination for monthly compliance activities with external consultants & internal stakeholder
• Preparing documents/ emails for contract renewals, request for quotation, quotation cost summery
• Performing other duties as directed by HOD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Commerce with minimum 1 year relevant work experience
• Prefer candidates from Airline industry or tax consultants
• Prefer user level experience on Oracle/ SAP/ other ERPs.
