Technical Services Administrator Overview:

The Technical Services Administrator position is responsible for distributing incoming maintenance documents by aircraft registration number, subsequent quality review, and data input into Sun Country Airlines maintenance and engineering computer system and electronic filing system, cataloging complete data into appropriate aircraft index. In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating with all maintenance and engineering departments; updating, maintaining, and archiving current and historical documentation of aircraft and power plant records; monthly coordination and verification of aircraft times and cycles between finance and maintenance computer systems.

Essential Roles And Responsibilities Of The Technical Services Administrator

  • Review of all aircraft logbook pages to assure accuracy and completeness of data. Correction of records as required.
  • Establish and maintain filing system for maintenance records to provide adequate security and efficient organization.
  • Filing, electronic filing system, storage, and retrieval of all maintenance records, as required by company and Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
  • Review and control of airworthiness directive records, maintenance check records, and hard-time component records. Correction of records as required.
  • Enter all data for all maintenance operations and records requiring computer input.
  • Review and assemble maintenance records for aircraft coming into or leaving the Sun Country Airlines’ operation.
  • Distribute incoming maintenance documents by aircraft registration number.
  • Analyze accuracy of aircraft logs, and non-routines to ensure compliance with the GMM policies and procedures.
  • Ascertain and verify the accuracy of MEL/MTI compliance, correspond with Maintenance Control actions.
  • Input data into the TRAX maintenance program.
  • Catalog completed data into the appropriate aircraft index.
  • Research and verify the documentation of aircraft and powerplant equipment transfers records.
  • Update/verify most recent component transactions into TRAX maintenance program.
  • Update compliance of maintenance requirements, technical orders, and special planning items into the TRAX maintenance program.
  • Research compliance of past maintenance accomplishments.
  • Coordinate with Materials, Purchasing, Repairs and Receiving to determine serial number status and/or input data into the TRAX maintenance program.
  • Maintain historical documentation of aircraft and powerplants in archives.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency of maintenance documentation prepared by maintenance personnel, validating correct part numbers and serial numbers of components changed on the aircraft, as well as verifying compliance with GMM policies and procedures during heavy maintenance checks.
  • Update and maintaining current AD and Engineering Task Card files.
  • Establish new airframe and powerplant AD files.
  • Monthly coordination and verification of aircraft times and cycles in TRAX.
  • Establish and maintain new and existing powerplant records.
  • Determine powerplant AD compliance, time, and cycle status.
  • Verify powerplant components, disc times, and cycle status.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Working Location: This position is open in Minneapolis, MN.

The qualifications we are looking for in a Technical Records Administrator include:

  • Two year of admin or data entry experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational, mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external associates
  • Ability to respond to correspondence and inquiries in a business appropriate manner
  • Motivated self-starter

Preferred Skills

  • Previous aircraft records experience in commercial aviation.
  • Knowledge of windows-based documents and databases.
  • Batching and Indexing in an electronic filing system.

Work Environment

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones photocopiers, filing cabinets. Occasionally this position will be required to work in non-office area including on an aircraft.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
