The role

As a People Advisor (Projects) based at Manchester Airport, you will be a key member of the People Team. Working closely with our People Partners, you will support the People Partner (Change) ensuring we deliver projects across the Airport. You’ll work closely with the relevant stakeholders to assist project planning and delivery. You’ll also play a significant operational role in the collective consultation process, alongside some generalist ER casework when workload allows. Some of your duties will include:  

  • Supporting managers with employee consultation meetings through minute taking and ensuring completion of actions
  • Planning and scheduling meetings
  • Developing and preparing letters and processes to ensure delivery to plan and commitments.
  • Responsible for supporting managers with generalist advice, policy support, employee relations, including case management.
  • Excellent advice, coaching and guidance on all people related issues.
  • Ensure processes are adhered to in line with employment law.
  • See that people are at the heart of the processes and policies we work with.
  • Engage with our on-site union representatives, supporting in meetings and help maintain our relationship.
  • Support with data capture and provide accurate data and statistics in a clear, concise format to ensure we are are tracking our delivery to plans.
  • Support with other administrative or transactional requirements of the projects.

What will make you successful in the role?

 

To be successful in this role you’ll.. 

  • Have substantial experience of supporting people related projects in a HR capacity
  • Be operating at experienced Advisor/Manager level 
  • Be a great team player, with a can-do approach
  • Be an effective communicator, able to quickly build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Have demonstrable experience of delivering first class customer service
  • Be a proficient user of Microsoft packages including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Have a great working knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Have some experience of managing ER cases and experience of working with Trade Unions is highly desirable but not essential.
