Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Budget Analyst 4 to join our team of talented, diverse individuals. This position will support our Space Sector HQ organization with a preferred location in McLean, VA . May consider one of the following major space locations: Baltimore MD; Redondo Beach CA; Chandler AZ; and, Roy UT.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Preparing annual budgets and assessing risks and opportunities.
Developing and maintaining financial models to assist with rate and budget management.
Analyzing trends and reviewing Actuals to Budgets monthly with budget owners; updating forecasts as needed.
Preparing comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds and determining rationale for variances between costs and budgets.
Assisting with preparation of monthly and quarterly budget reporting, executive summaries, variance analysis, and presentations for management.
Inputting budget forecasts into budgeting tool.
Packaging the Space HQ FPRP
Monitoring and reporting on Fringe, Insurance, Comp Related, State Tax
DCAA/MA Liaison
Supporting regular ad hoc requests for detailed and what-if analysis.
Submitting correction entries as needed.
Setting up IWOs and project codes as needed.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of budget analysis/business management/finance related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 8+ years of budget analysis/business management/finance related professional experience.
Experience in conducting financial analysis in an operations environment and/or business management.
Experience with MS Office products (specifically Excel).
Experience with FAR Cost Principles and/or CAS.
Experience with financial forecasting and reporting.
US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working in a fast-paced, cross functional environment with keen attention to detail.
Working understanding of program elements-of-cost, labor, material, subcontracts, etc.
Working understanding of indirect pools and allocations.
Experience delivering analysis and presentations to management/executive leadership.
Experience using CostPoint and Cognos TM1.
Salary Range: $86,300 - $150,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
