Key Responsibilities

Inflight Services Training provides the following types of training to flight attendants: Continuing Qualification, Aircraft Transition, Requalification, Customer Service and other types of training as needed. The Regional Manager position will be responsible for planning and leading the training center's annual operating budget, monthly training liability, performance and utilization of Instructor Evaluator Specialists and company business flight attendant instructors, calibration and quality control/audit of instructor evaluators. Local liaison for FAA audits/no-notice inspections. The position will ensure the successful delivery of flight attendant training to meet United operational needs while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies and standards.

  • Plan and lead operating budget
  • Plan and handle monthly training liability
  • Complete Quality Assurance/Audits
  • Plan and run utilization of company business flight attendant instructors
  • Liaison with FAA and corporate safety auditors

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of LINK—eFAOM, Inflight Policies and Procedures Manual (IPPM), Content Locker, etc.
  • Excellent Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Dedication to Working Together Guidelines and treating each other with dignity and respect
  • Ability to complete instructor qualification training and ongoing qualification maintenance requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, etc.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • United Airlines flight attendant qualification (minimum 3 years active service and in good standing)
  • Working knowledge of CFR Part 121 regulations, Advanced Qualification Programs, the Aircraft Operators Standard Security Program and United flight attendant responsibilities and procedures
  • Working knowledge of the FA Contract
  • Experience with public speaking to small and large groups; Mentor, counseling and mediation skills
