Judge Advocate
Position Summary
If you are ready for the next step in your legal career, consider the Department of the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. In the JAG Corps, you will provide full-spectrum legal advice to Airmen, Space Guardians and their families across the globe.
As a JAG, you will serve alongside established professionals who are committed to protecting our national security and those who serve. You accomplish this while earning competitive pay and receiving an amazing benefits package.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle a wide variety of legal issues, including criminal, civil, fiscal, space, cyber, environmental, medical, labor and employment, international, and operational law.
- Counsel on multimillion-dollar contracts.
- Provide critical advice to military commanders around the world.

Qualifications
To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- Younger than 40 years of age
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved law school and be admitted to the highest court of any U.S. state, commonwealth, territory or the District of Columbia.
- Willing to travel and relocate
- Air Force medical examination and qualification by the Air Force Surgeon General prior to commissioning
