Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Fleet Maintenance Services this position is responsible for parts pick up and delivery, shop cleanliness and escorting fleet vendors as required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Fleet purchasing using P card as instructed by Supervisor or designate
- Pick-up and delivery of parts and Fleet Vehicles
- Staging of Fleet equipment in and out of shop before and after repairs
- Provide escort to Fleet vendors, service providers who are required to access airside, as well into secure or locked areas (generator rooms)
- Ensure the general cleanliness of Maintenance Garage i.e.: litter pickup
- Patrol the Garage and other areas outlined to ensure that all debris/garbage is removed
- Remove and dispose of bagged garbage from the garbage cans
Qualifications:
- Secondary School diploma
- 2-3 years' work experience in Fleet/mechanic shop and performing general maintenance
- 2-3 years’ experience in dealing with the public/customer service
- Valid class “G” Ontario Driver’s license
- Able to obtain and retain D/A AVOP and forklift license within 30 days of appointment to position
- Able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
- Must be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised with attention to detail
- Knowledge of fleet parts
- Customer service skills
- Software & computer skills at a basic level (I.e. Microsoft Office (word, Excel) Outlook, Teams, inventory management system (Maximo)
