The AW609 Integrated Logistic and Support Engineer provides a key function of the AW609 entry into service plan. The resource will support ongoing operations from a technical and customer service standpoint, and coordinating for the logistic, material supply and technical supplier documentation needs of the aircraft. In particular, the resource will support the AW609 CS&S team in review of internal and supplier technical documents, spares, tools, and GSE requirements, and other logistic supply requirements for certification with a view towards their application in an operational environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review Vendor support contracts to ensure adequate in service is included and liaise with P&SC as necessary to incorporate revisions. Track status and maintain KPI of same.
  • Review Vendor CMM’s for adequate content on behalf of CS&S. Liaise with engineering to complete reviews and with P&SC to incorporate revisions and finalize approvals. Track status and maintain KPI of same.
  • Identify Suppliers parts that are to be considered spares and process request to codify them for internal management/orders.
  • Manage the overall list of AW609 special tools and identify those that are to be part of the customer IPL. Acquire / update costs on an ongoing basis. Support the tools program for AWPC P145 maintenance capability.
  • Define requirements /Coordinate the content and acquisition of AW609 spares required to support the customer. Monitor IPL part numbers for changes or updates due to CR’s and any other applicable causes & maintain IPL currency. Develop and maintain IPL’s for additional customers as necessary. Monitor all spares orders status on an ongoing basis.
  • Participate in Change Request(CR) meetings to monitor proposed design changes and product improvements, prioritizing those initiated by Customer Service or with impact on in service operation. Coordinate with Engineering as necessary to initiate and follow up on change requests in process accordingly. Track status, prepare reports and presentations for the team and management as required.
  • Manage other activities as assigned.
  • Coordinate with equivalent functions in other geographies


Qualifications for Position:

Education -

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering (Aeronautics/Mechanics/Electronics/ Aircraft Maintenance/ Aviation Management) or an industry standard quality background with associated certifications.


Experience -

  • 3 or more years of experience in Customer Support related roles with Integrated Logistics/Logistics Support Analysis experience.
  • Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance processes.
  • Knowledge of the AW609 is a plus.
