Location: Hybrid role with 3 days a week in The VHQ, Crawley

Contract: 18 month FTC/Secondment

In a nutshell


In this exciting role as Data Manager within Working Capital, you'll support the People & Finance team in the successful delivery and implementation of our Oracle (Cloud) ERP programme.


Working alongside the wider Procurement and Working Capital SMEs to meet project deliverables across Source to Pay (S2P), Invoice to Cash (I2C) and Employee Expenses which will primarily include activities relating to data migration, ensuring data is reviewed, cleansed, and enriched to reduce data transfer issues at cutover.


Alongside this you will also provide support during SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure that both system and user tests don't fail due to incomplete or incorrect data.

Day to day


  • Work closely with the P&F Data Migration and Finance Systems & Transformation teams to meet project timelines
  • Lead and support the data migration activities and actions relating to Working Capital and Procurement
  • Review SQL data scripts and outputs to ensure there are no known gaps
  • Proactively identify data migration issues and coordinate data cleansing and enrichment requirements ensuring data accuracy/integrity is preserved.
  • Working alongside the business area SMEs, standardise and rationalise data to improve existing processes, taking into consideration impacts on reporting
  • Monitor project RAID log to ensure all actions are logged and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular progress updates and raise any issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Provide adhoc support where and when required (e.g. during periods of absence)
  • Work alongside SMEs to prepare, review and compile fit for purpose test scripts to accommodate migrated data
  • Co-ordinate UAT sessions with SMEs, providing additional support as required.
  • Lead on timely resolution of incidents/errors, capturing and calling out as required.
  • Deliver training sessions to the Working Capital and Procurement teams, including our offshore teams on any business process that needs adapting to manage migrated data


About you


Do you have a proven background within Finance, preferably Procure to Pay or Invoice to Cash? Do you have a good understanding of Oracle (preferred) or ERP systems in general (e.g. SAP, Workday)? Then this could be the role for you!


Alongside the above, we're looking for the following:


  • Proficient in data extraction and validation using SQL scripting and Business Objects (desirable) and MS Excel (essential)
  • Previous experience working across finance projects, process automation or improvement activities.
  • Proven capability to prioritize work, working under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent professional judgement and problem solving.
  • Excellent IT skills i.e. Microsoft Excel, MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint etc.
  • Previous experience in cleansing, mapping, and validating data.
