The Supply Chain Specialist (SCS) is responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Manager (SCM) in all aspects of the procurement process, inventory monitoring, and maintaining order traceability within the FTO network. Key responsibilities include supplier relations, supply chain operations, shelf life & calibrated tools, tracking expenses, forecasting inventory, RMA submissions, and controlling inventory levels. Other SCS-related duties are to oversee AOGs, maintain FAA 141 requirements, and assist the SCM in overseeing day-to-day operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Supplier Relations: Maintain a strong relationship with suppliers and driving cost reduction initiatives.
• Operations: Assist in ensuring a steady operational flow of general policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance and efficiency for CAE FTO supply chain needs.
• AOG: Oversee sourcing and maintain a constant watch of AOG parts and mitigate future occurrences. Maintain AOG tracker and provide management with frequent updates.
• Purchaser: Drive the procurement process as the purchaser for CAE FTOs and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services required.
• Work with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoices and resolve payment issues.
• Regulate and oversee the ongoing cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy while also assisting management with inventory Min/Max requirements.
• Assist the SCM in performing routine audits (shelf life, calibrated tools, cycle counts) to maintain compliance with FAA regulations and CAE processes.
• Direct continuous improvement projects and other projects to enhance overall production.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
• Ability to problem solve and propose solutions, strong analytic skills, and ability to work independently
• Must have 2+ years’ experience in supply chain or inventory procurement.
• Strong computer and data entry skills, in-depth knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP systems.
• Continuous improvement mindset or experience in Lean, Six Sigma etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  
  

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Prior experience in Aviation is a plus.
• Must have 2+ years’ experience in supply chain or inventory procurement.
• Strong computer and data entry skills, in-depth knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP systems.
• Continuous improvement mindset or experience in Lean, Six Sigma etc.
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve and propose solutions, strong analytic skills, and ability to work independently.
