Title:  Assistant Mechanical Engineer - Marine Newbuild (Benoi)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man-hour returns and coordinate all aspects of site issues for repair projects
• Liaise with surveyors and comply with inspection requirements
• Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule
• Study and evaluate the work processes and methods of the department and explore new ideas to improve work quality and productivity
• Resolve any technical problems or issues with Designer, contractors, class & owner
• Evaluate technical and engineering requirements of the jobs
• Obtain and monitor drawings and technical information
• Prepare reports on job status and project completion
• Conduct Risk Assessment and hazard reporting

Requirements:

• Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or related fields
• Interest in onsite production coordination and management work
• Possess understanding of technical drawings and basic mechanical works
• Resourceful, committed, independent and a good team player
• Able to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Able to work under outdoor conditions: heat, grease and dust
• Able to work on some weekends, dependent on project timeline and requirements

• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
