- High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferred.
- Awareness of EH&S, 6S, and continuous improvement would be an asset.
- Must be detail and result oriented.
- Must possess a good capacity for teamwork and effective communications.
- Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to problem solve effectively.
- Must display drive and initiative.
- Able to support weekday & weekend OT as required.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English.
- Assembles aircraft engines and sub-assemblies according to assembly floor sheets (AFS) giving necessary attention to the use and care of equipment, tools and safe working practices
- Ensures that quality and integrity of product is maintained at all times.
- Signs applicable assembly floor sheets (AFS) when operations are complete.
- Executes engine pre-dress, test and post-dress according to assembly floor sheets (AFS).
- Documents build, test or strip activities to ensure smooth work flow and coordination between shifts.
- Checks that tools, equipment, and parts are clean, FOD and damage free prior to & after use. Ensures proper care and storage of tools, equipment, and parts during assembly, test & disassembly of engines.
- Assists in troubleshooting during assembly, test or disassembly of engines performing various tasks such as cleaning hardware etc.
- Contributes to FOD prevention, continuous improvement and EHS cultures.
- Shift work required (2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons on rotation), alternate shifts may be required at times.
