PURPOSE: While practicing “Safety Always” in every aspect of job performance and airline operations, the Flight Crew Support Lead (Crew Scheduling Lead) will inspire travel by keeping our promises to customers and crewmembers and build long lasting customer loyalty. The Lead, Flight Crew Support will assist the Supervisor, Flight Crew Support In managing the day-to-day crew scheduling operation within the OCC. The Lead, Flight Crew Support will lead by living all of our values: Safety Always, Keeping It Simple, Do the Right Thing, and One Crew on every flight, every day.

Outcomes & Responsibilities

  • SAFETY: Demonstrate safety ownership in every aspect of their responsibilities, performance, and behavior to ensure the successful outcome of every Avelo Airlines flight.
  • As part of the crew ensure all identified safety or regulatory non-compliance and/or ineffective processes are reported so they can be assessed and corrected by Avelo Airlines.
  • Actively participate in, and contribute to, our Avelo Airlines safety management system
  • Actively support Avelo Airlines safety promotions.
  • Strive to further the Avelo Airlines safety policy to create a just culture and safety ownership by “Doing the Right Thing”.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES: The Lead, Flight Crew Support will be responsible for the following tasks, including working as “One Crew” to encourage all crewmembers to support each other, own their roles, and work together to achieve excellence.
  • Assists in Managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the FCS crew is following all standards.
  • Monitors crew legality checks for both pilots and flight attendants and ensure all corrections are made as needed to ensure compliance with company standards and Federal Regulations
  • Monitors crew status and updates OCC leadership on capabilities.
  • Updates OE, CKS, and Line Check Schedules in coordination with the Supervisor, FCS
  • During irregular operations assumes the role of crew tracker to mitigate impact to the airline. Responsible for resolving crew legality issues, unscheduled hotel/transportation arrangements, and updating crew schedules impacted by irregular operations to recover the next 24 hours.
  • CUSTOMER AND CREW LEADERSHIP: Build customer loyalty and live our “One Crew” value by leading Avelo Crew Scheduling to deliver on our purpose, values, vision, and brand.
  • Enable effective crew performance by communicating transparently and authentically with all Crewmembers
  • Build customer trust and loyalty by communicating directly and authentically with customers with care, kindness, and respect and in our “brand voice”


Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of airline scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of Part 117 and Part 121 regulations
  • eTT SkedFlex operating system preferred
  • Effective Communication: builds “One Crew” performance and customer trust and loyalty through effective listening to understand and sharing information with customers and crewmembers.
  • Critical thinking to identify, evaluate, and select optimal actions to operate safely, effectively, and efficiently. Identify and share opportunities to improve so we get even better.
  • Ability to work through multiple problems/solutions prioritizing and sequencing the execution of issues to manage and resolve them quickly and effectively.
  • 7-day operation requires the ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Microsoft Office skills basics (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams).
  • A US citizen (or ability to work in the US)
