Air NZ Mobile App developers create the next-generation technologies that change how our customers connect, explore, travel and interact throughout each step in the customer journey. Our digital solutions must operate at a massive scale and extend well beyond just booking a flight.
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Mobile / iOS) to be at the forefront of this exciting adventure. We have a mobile strategy and looking for somebody with a passion to provide expert software engineering skills to a dedicated Product team focused on building, testing and supporting new and existing software applications. You will be working with our in-house user experience and brand experts, creating exciting UI components. You will have the opportunity to make your mark in a business and industry full of challenges, complexity and opportunity. It is our Mobile team that we believe will change the way our customers are travelling digitally.
What you will need to successfully take off in this role
Proven experience as a Senior Mobile Engineer with exceptional technical expertise in Swift and Swift UI development
Proficiency with mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices
Experience with backend-for-frontend development patterns and deployments, and AWS is a plus
Excellent communication skills, driving a culture of experimentation, innovation and cross-functional collaboration
Strong problem-solving skills with a strong focus on the why and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges
Continuous learner with a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
