What Are Your Responsibility's

The Senior Manager Platform, Services and Front End Solutions (PSF) is responsible for two areas. Firstly, the operation of our own applications. And secondly, the development of our front-end solutions. Operations is divided into the following areas of responsibility: Application Management, Infrastructure Provisioning (both on-premises in data centers and in the cloud, including the network), Incident Response Team (IRT) and Customer Support. In addition, the PSF Manager supports other agile teams within the business unit in taking responsibility for the operation of their applications. The PSF provides tools for pipelining in a DevOps approach.

On the development side, there is responsibility for our web booking engines and travel agency solutions. This responsibility includes the development, implementation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art web application solutions, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for our clients and end users. The Manager PSF will work with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers and product managers, to achieve project goals and deliver high quality solutions. He or she champions and implements DevOps principles in their area of responsibility to streamline development, testing and deployment processes. The manager will ensure that the team stays abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the team's capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.

The manager leads team leaders and technical experts directly and is responsible for about 65-70 people.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • A strong background in ITIL and a Master’s or MBA degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Multilingual skills, fluent in German and English, and experience running applications and ensuring high availability.
  • Demonstrable experience with DevOps and Cloud concepts, as well as experience managing stakeholders up to the executive/C-Suite level.
  • 8-10 years of management experience, particularly in change or interim management, and should be able to demonstrate success in change programs utilizing methodologies such as ADKAR.
  • Experience managing multiple teams of at least 30 people with Agile methodology, and experience with SAFe is a plus.
  • Cultural sensitivity, with experience working internationally with diverse teams and managing geographically remote teams.
  • Experience in budget setting and cost management, as well as negotiation with various stakeholders to secure necessary resources.
  • Experience managing teams with homegrown software solutions, cloud-based, or on legacy systems, and cloud migration experience is a plus.
