We are looking for a dynamic, curious, and passionate person focused on results, teamwork, and continuous improvement to complement our quality team in the Engine Center. The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality of the processes and products. The candidate supports the assembly processes and test activities to ensure compliance with our quality requirements. In addition, the incumbent will be ensuring that airworthiness standards are fulfilled as an Authorized Inspector (AI). He conducts quality verifications on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable government regulations.

What your day to day will look like?
- Provide technical and administrative support to the “Product Integrity” function for all quality control-related activities involving assembly and testing activities.
- Perform investigations to find the root causes of quality issues and help develop solutions to eliminate such incidents.
- Support OEM investigations and activities.
- Lead the investigation of product escapes in coordination with various support groups to provide containment and minimize the impact on the customers.
- Provide support to the production line for quality issues and help address actions to reduce COPQ (cost of poor quality) through work on special projects / investigations.
- Chair Quality Clinics in support of Operations.
- Participate as a quality representative on various audits, assembly and test activities, and Plant/Engine Centre initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Provide new and creative solutions. Demonstrate project management skills.
- Familiarization with the Authorized Inspector role: plan, organize, and conduct final verification of engines and parts prior to shipment and sign an airworthiness release certificate.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures to support engine certification in accordance with TCCA standards.
- Participate in the certification process for new engine programs.
- Respond to customer requests following engine delivery.
Must haves
- University degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or aeronautical), Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Work experience 5-10 years of relevant experience preferably in Inspection / Quality.
- Other relevant experience related to potion will be considered and evaluated.
- Knowledge of the aerospace field.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Teamwork, autonomy, sense of initiative, good communication, and results focus.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office tools.
- System knowledge such as SAP & Enovia PLM.
- Six sigma, continuous improvement techniques, and RCCA (root cause corrective action).
