Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Concessions Management and Development, the role represents and leads all large-scale commercial program activations through the Accelerator Program, LIFT, and the Terminal 1 and 3 Revitalization projects and infrastructure development for the Retail and advertising and strategic partner business. They will also lead all commercial-related projects with tenants and partners. They will act as the key liaison between the department, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and all other partners responsible for delivering complex capital projects.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Lead the coordination of all commercial tenant projects including the planning, scheduling, financial tracking, internal design review and construction until operationalized
  • Ensure all GTAA processes are followed and will be the point of contact for the tenant during design and construction phase
  • Liaise with senior levels of tenant management on major programs, including the master operators and local leadership
  • Responsible to create and maintain relationships with GTAA partners, tenants and project managers internally and externally
  • Lead people by providing coaching, guidance, and development by providing relevant feedback for personal and career growth
  • Prepares and presents project forecasts, budgets, and monthly variance analysis reports for use by the senior leadership team
  • Develops and defines communication plans with Stakeholder Relations and Communications and with the Passenger Communication Team
  • Work with tenants to acquire the information and artwork to ensure accurate branding


The salary for this management non-unionized position is competitive based on the successful candidate’s qualifications.

Qualifications:


  • Post Secondary education in business or a related field and/or combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in airport or airline operations and/or retail and/or food and beverage experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in People Management (direct report or cross-functional)
  • 3 years’ experience leading complex, multi partner capital projects from design to execution
  • Valid Ontario G Class driver's license or provincial equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer centric environment
  • Able to obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position

  • Ability to lead capital related projects from conception to planning and implementation to measuring outcomes
  • Able to efficiently and effectively lead all dimensions of planning for projects
  • Strong eye for business and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of influence strategies, retail programs or plans and strategies
  • Strong interpersonal, influence and facilitation skills to maintain existing tenant and partner relationships, develop new tenant and collaborator relationships and work effectively with GTAA departments
  • Ability to successfully lead and make decisions quickly and respond to critical and changing priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
