Crew Service Manager - Berlin/Amsterdam
For many of our team, a role in Cabin Services is the next step up in their career journey from Cabin Crew. It’s from here you’ll start to work closely with our wider network and corporate teams, quickly deepening your knowledge, experience and leadership. We call that ‘Orange Years’ – because the scale and growth of our business means that you’ll never be short of career opportunity, and as one of the World’s largest airlines there is quite simply more of it here. And thanks to the peer-to-peer support we have, we’ll also help you get where you want to be too.
We are recruiting for a Crew Services Manager to join the team. In this dynamic role within our fast-paced crew operations environment, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to supporting the well-being and effective functioning of our Cabin Crew and Pilot communities.
As a Crew Services Manager, your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of people management and employee relations, including absence management, conduct, and performance. Utilising people policies and internal procedures, you will oversee informal and formal stages, guided by local jurisdiction. You will fly to provide support network-wide, ensuring a consistent, clear, and engaging experience.
Key tasks include managing off-roster activities, recording medical evidence for absence (where applicable), conducting welfare phone calls (where applicable), collaborating with ER/HR colleagues, analysing data for attendance trends, preparing return-to-work case files, and conducting both informal and formal stages of absence and conduct policies. Your role will extend to supporting the probation process (where applicable) for new entrant Cabin Crew and managing flexible/family working processes in alignment with local guidelines.
What You Need To Do This Role
You will be a collaborative and performance-driven person with a proven track record of working effectively within sizable teams, demonstrating the ability to drive performance and prioritise tasks in a dynamic operational environment. Strong written and communication skills are essential for cross-functional collaboration, and you should be comfortable with front-line, face-to-face, and remote management.
The role requires in-depth knowledge of company/aviation safety practices, as well as a comprehensive understanding of our company's people policies. Experience in a unionised environment, including interactions with key union members, is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, is a must. Flexibility to work variable shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays, and the willingness to travel across the network to support the crew operations team are essential. Bilingual proficiency in both English and Dutch/German is a must, enabling effective communication through writing, reviewing, and managing documents to emails, meeting notes, and reports. While a Cabin Crew Attestation on A320 family aircraft is desired, the candidate should, at a minimum, have the ability to obtain one and remain in check.
What You’ll Get In Return
> Competitive base salary
> Up to 20% bonus
> 25 days holiday
> SAYE
> Life Assurance
> Excellent staff travel benefits

This is a full-time role and will be 40 hours per week covering multiple bases across Amsterdam & Berlin. You will be required to attend all bases depending on business needs; however, your usual place of work can be any of the above locations.
