Position Summary

The Analyst Maintenance Programs will report to the Manager of Maintenance Programs on the Maintenance Planning and Programs team in Technical Operations (Tech Ops). Maintenance Programs is responsible for development and optimization of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Aircraft Maintenance Program. Our mission is to provide a safe, compliant and reliable aircraft to every customer, every flight, and every day. The Analyst Maintenance Programs will help develop the maintenance requirements for the JetBlue fleet.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Progressively develop and optimize the FAA approved Maintenance Programs for the JetBlue fleet.
  • Prepare, edit, reconcile and revise maintenance task cards when revisions are made to the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM).
  • Interface with Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs), inspectors, and engineers to analyze and improve task cards.
  • Maintain Maintenance Program tasks in the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) System (TRAX) via Engineering Controls.
  • Support Senior Analysts and Maintenance Program Engineers to prepare Maintenance Program Revisions and disposition Airworthiness Directives (AD) effective to the JetBlue fleet.
  • Review Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) revisions and evaluate for incorporation into the JetBlue Maintenance Program.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planning to schedule Aging Aircraft Inspections and prepare records reviews for the JetBlue aging aircraft fleet.
  • Provide operational support for Maintenance Programs related requests.
  • Develop Maintenance Program department processes and assist with continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • One (1) year of experience in the aviation/aerospace industry or equivalent
  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft systems
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to comprehend aircraft maintenance manuals and technical publications
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship


Preferred Experience And Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Certifications and/or experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean and/or Six Sigma
  • Working knowledge of OEM documents including Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR), MPD, AMM, and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)
  • Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and the disposition of engineering documents
  • Knowledge and experience with the following: Aging Aircraft Programs, Reliability/Continuing Analysis Surveillance System (CASS), MSG-3 and Maintenance Programs
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) pertaining to 121 Air Carrier operations
  • Knowledge of TRAX

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $62,400.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
