What your day to day will look like?

At P&WC and within a team of engineering specialists, the Support to Operations Mechanical Design (STO Design) group is responsible to provide technical support to the supply chain by performing the following:

  • Design modifications that will resolve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.
  • Perform thorough engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.
  • Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components manufactured by new suppliers.
  • Initiate design modifications for cost reductions.

The tools you need to be successful

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
  • Member of PEO is recommended.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design.
  • General knowledge of engineering disciplines (aerodynamics, heat transfer, structures, dynamics).
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and CATIA V5 is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
