The role
As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will find innovative and effective ways to deliver quality outputs and solutions to meet complex business needs and support changes in business processes.
 
Day to day, you’ll ensure data can be utilised to provide actionable insights for operational needs and evidence-based decision support. You will be responsible for ensuring requirements captured by the Deployment Strategist are applied through workflows, alerts and applications to help our business and customers make better use of their data to improve decision making.

 

Other Key Responsibilities:
•    Build custom applications, work with large scale datasets both MOD owned, and Babcock owned data, build automation into processes, maintain, and support existing workflows
•    During the project lifecycles you will need to work with the wider insights team to understand current and proposed workflows and processes
•    Own end to end execution of these solutions, working with existing data engineering teams to ensure pipelines are built to purpose
 
This role is full time working 37-hours per week and will be based at our Andover site with hybrid working from home arrangements. 
 
Essential experience of the Full Stack Developer:
•    Strong engineering background preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, and Data Science
•    Proficiency with one or more programming languages or data engineering frameworks, such as Python, SQL, Spark, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
•    Effective organisation and time management skills - work independently and manage workload
•    Self-motivated, enthusiastic, ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, through prioritising work and managing deadlines
 
Qualifications for the Full Stack Developer:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
