Job Title Graduate Shared Services Project and Business Change

Location Preston, Lancashire

Start Date 27th January 2025

BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

Salary £34,000 & £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Shared Services comprises 2,500+ colleagues across the UK and internationally, delivering 220+ services which support colleagues throughout every stage of their career.

Some of the functions include, HR, Payroll, Pensions, International secondment, Procurement, Facilities and worldwide IT services.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be gaining business change experience across projects of varying type and complexity. You’ll be expected to champion, support and apply best practice business change principles across a variety of projects, whilst also helping to increase awareness and continuously improve the business change offering.

You’ll take responsibility for your own development and as your experience grows, it’s expected that you’ll expand the scope and complexity of your contribution. You’ll be expected to work independently on routine activities and you’ll be supervised and supported whilst working on more complex activities.

Duties And Responsibilities

– Working closely with project management staff to ensure due consideration is given to business change throughout project lifecycles

– Assessing, managing and minimising impacts of change

– Coordinating the development of effective approaches and clear plans to support people through change, helping to ensure successful implementation

– Identifying and managing benefits through to realisation

– Managing, engaging and communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

– Designing and tracking success measures

– Identifying business change risks and ensuring these are mitigated and escalated where appropriate

Skills

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business / project management / HR or similar related fields.

On commencement of employment you will be paid a one-off non-consolidated lump sum payment of £2,000 (the “Welcome Payment”). The Welcome Payment is subject to the normal deductions and will be paid with your first salary payment.
