Senior Analyst Manpower Systems
Position Summary
The Manpower Systems Senior Analyst will assist the Resource Planning team in development of workforce plans for Airport labor in compliance with JetBlue guidelines and directives. The Senior Analyst will also maintain planning systems and perform strategic analyses to drive efficiency and airline operability. The Senior Analyst will be instrumental in not only helping optimize the business from a micro and macro level, but assist in implementing tools and resources that will help streamline operations and allow for quick, effective decisions. Projects are system-wide and may require travel to various cities throughout the network.
Essential Responsibilities
The Manpower Systems Senior Analyst will assist the Resource Planning team in development of workforce plans for Airport labor in compliance with JetBlue guidelines and directives. The Senior Analyst will also maintain planning systems and perform strategic analyses to drive efficiency and airline operability. The Senior Analyst will be instrumental in not only helping optimize the business from a micro and macro level, but assist in implementing tools and resources that will help streamline operations and allow for quick, effective decisions. Projects are system-wide and may require travel to various cities throughout the network.
Essential Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain headcount models and schedules for operations groups with a focus on Airports, but can also include Tech Ops, Flight Ops and Inflight
- Drive headcount planning/hiring strategies and ad-hoc studies by conducting data-based analyses
- Proactively identify areas of risk and opportunity with respect to headcount and hourly management
- Maintain, operate, and improve workforce reporting and optimization systems
- Support real-time workforce planning system in select large cities
- Support operational efficiency projects for Airports, Tech Ops, JetBlue University (JBU), Talent, Flight, and Inflight
- Support goal development for operational business units
- Build and foster relationships with internal and external customers including conducting regular meetings and training events
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- Three (3) years of analytical or related experience
- Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills combined with business judgment and the ability to communicate with senior leadership
- Self-starter who is eager to participate and contribute in teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
- Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency with headcount planning techniques and strategies
- Experience with resource planning systems including Sabre, Staff Planner, and/or Inform GS Planning
- Capabilities with a programming language, such as Python, Java etc.
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
- Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion
- Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Computer and other office equipment
- Occasional trips to the airport may require special equipment – ear plugs, safety vests, and steel-toed boots
- Traditional office environment
- Present during core business hours with extended hours when operationally necessary
- Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)
- The base pay range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
