Key Responsibilities

• Gathering information and triggering quality investigations regarding defects found in the process or by customers regarding CLB - OVF - Pharma - DG -Delay - Countour - ULD.
• Perform root cause analysis and propose action plans in conjunction with Operational Excellence Manager.
• Coordinate implementation of action plans as defined by Operational Excellence Manager.
• Propose process improvements.
• Contribute to resolve problems.
• Contribute to develop standard operational and working practices.
• Drafting of SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) and WI (Work Instructions).
• Contribute to ensure specific operational and safety compliance.
• Elaboration of presentations related to quality issues for training and/or awareness talks.
• Make training talks, awareness and training for operations workers with topics defined by Operational Excellence Manager.
• Support in the implementation of tools and work instruments with Operational Excellence topics as Avianca's main partner.
• Support in standardization of processes.
• Measurement of parameters to survey processes and to study proposals for their improvement.
• Review of databases and transactional systems for research and analysis.
• Other tasks assigned by the Operational Excellence Manager.
  
  

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or 5 years previous supervisory/management experience.
• Aviation Industry experience a plus.
• Must be able to pass a ten-year background check as required by US Customs.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to meet airline client work schedule requirement.
• Must be available on call and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work is done primarily indoor but sometimes outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
• Must pass driver’s test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver’s license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
• Must pass pre-employment medical and drug test.
