Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between Implementation engineers, teams and end customers to create and maintain project management plans including project scope, release schedule/GO Live, milestones, deliverables
  • Manage effective project implementation delivery for all projects to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manages project activities/milestones to meet business goals
  • Track and monitor project execution to make sure that the customer requirements are met balancing the projects constraints
  • Identify and manage resource requirements, required skills sets, training plans, quality reviews, documentations and weekly status meetings for project execution
  • Provide escalation support for Implementation team to facilitate any roadblocks
  • Build and maintain a strong governance w.r.t RAID and Action management
  • Act as the first point of escalation from internal and external project stakeholders
  • Develop process improvements to meet customer needs
  • Improve customer relationship and engagement by providing timely and accurate responses
  • Validate project plan and schedule to incorporate any changes requested by customer
  • Coordinate calls, meetings and communications between customers and project team throughout the project implementation phase
  • Inform project status, schedule and key issues to customers and management on a regular basis
  • Perform negotiations on project activities with customer when required
  • Review, maintain and update a database of project related documents
  • Inform management on customer needs and business opportunities
  • Manage projects deviations (schedule, scope, cost) by applying the change management process across all projects
  • Provide project reporting based on defined relevant KPIs to top management
  • Maintain program dashboards to ensure clear reporting to top management
  • Prepare and assist in Steering Committee level meeting other governance boards
  • Mange external(third party) vendor resource deliveries as applicable in case of contracted resourcing in projects
  • Define the overall migration strategy for a customer. Handle the migration activities, rehearsals, and cutover with the airline. Responsible for the setup of the product in test and production.
  • Support project activities during the implementation in the area of expertise (incl. system/data set-up, support to test phases and migration). Support UAT and BPT testing from the airline
  • Lead Implementation projects as well as Services projects. Define the overall planning of activities and track progresses through the applicable project governance.
  • Liaise with all Amadeus involved teams: ADP, DEV, PDef, PM, Pre-Sales
  • Prioritise the tasks

Technical Skill

  • Strong project planning skills using MS Projects/other tools
  • MS Office Suite(Projects/Excel/PowerPoint): Intermediate with strong expertise in Excel
  • Communication of technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Communication of business information to a technical audience
  • Ability to document, analyse, trace, prioritize and agree on requirements and then control change and communicate to relevant stakeholders

Functional Skills

  • Implementation/Professional Services Project Management: Expert

The Implementation Project Principal Specialist is Individual Contributor Role for Implementation project management.

The role is highly customer focussed and transversal that owns the responsibility of overall project delivery within agreed time, budget, and resources. Under implementation project management profile, the role is expected to understand multiple implementation streams, able to connect dots, design project plans , identify dependencies, harmonise sub activities to maintain overall health of project, engage with stakeholders, manage deliveries , co-ordinate with customers, work on leadership presentations , drive steering committees and ensure smooth relationship with customers.

The role is expected to lead transformation projects in the airline business for Amadeus product implementation.

As successful candidate you will be owner for one or more projects for multiple airline customers simultaneously.

Common Accountabilities:

  • - Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs at a high level. Is recognized as a leader in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.
  • - Understands how main business drivers may impact on own area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information.
  • - Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions. Leads projects or contributes to broad cross-functional projects. May contribute to planning of resources and budget.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Build and manage the implementation project core team.
  • Ensure coordinated action between Amadeus organisation, external parties and customer implementation groups
  • Centralize and follow-up technical issues
  • Refine and finalize the implementation project scope with the Program manager
  • Identify all activities necessary to produce all project deliverables
  • Size the implementation project (implementation and gap activity)
  • Estimate and identify resources with participating line organisation units
  • Build and validate detailed implementation project planning
  • Consolidate and follow-up implementation project planning, resources, issues
  • Define and follow-up implementation reporting (reporting structure and content, etc)
  • Monitor project and ensure the quality of project deliverables
  • Evaluate internal and external project risks and propose mitigation actions
  • Communicate and report on project resources, progress, risks and costs to Program manager
  • Escalate any issue impacting costs, project delivery timeline or scope to Program manager
  • Support Program manager to implement CR structure for Financial purposes
  • Attend Customer Project Status meeting and Project Steering Committee.
  • AIT scope = Altéa Products suite (Res, Inventory or DC) + related add-ons
