The role
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will act as a subject matter expert for internal and external client teams, contributing to the architectural capability within the CS&A team, as well as Cavendish’s modelling capacity, and ensuring that projects are delivered against time restrictions and with sufficient resource.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll will be capable of doing design detailing of buildings and the associated aspects. You'll be pivotal to our innovative projects, having a holistic approach, focusing on layout, design and technical detailing, all whilst engaging with clients to build relationships and manage their expectations. This fantastic opportunity grants you great exposure internally, across Cavendish Nuclear and Babcock as well as externally. With various progression opportunities and varied, complex projects this diverse position offers new challenges and growth. You'll also be expected to:

 

  • Work autonomously, taking leadership, managing stakeholders, and making design decisions.
  • Lead the design and coordination aspects of a multidiscipline project.
  • Provide advice to other disciplines as Architectural Subject Matter Expert.
  • Produce Architectural deliverables to a high standard and to time constraints using relevant current BIM technologies.
  • Understand and interpret requirements to put together scheme layouts early in the design process.


This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires some travel across a range of internal and customer sites, when necessary, alongside home working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Architectural Technologist:

  • Experience in a regulated industry in a position of responsibility working within a project as an Architectural Technologist (takes leadership of a project confidently.)
  • Strong technical detail and BIM knowledge 
  • Demonstrated responsibility for the production designs of varying complexity, including relevant sketches, models and associated data, reports and other required engineering documentation (architectural deliverables and coordination.)
  • Confidence liaising with stakeholders of all levels.


Qualifications for the Senior Architectural Technologist:

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification within relevant field is desirable.
  • Chartership or working towards chartership is desirable.
