The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for planning and execution of short-term strategy and lead the go-to-market activities to support marketing, sales, and other business areas as subject matter expert. Will be responsible for making decisions throughout the product lifecycle to help create products which are stable, scalable and provide great user experience. You will be championing our products and collaborating closely with customers and vendors to ensure the product meets market needs.

Senior Product Manager will be working on multiple products and collaborating cross functionally to gather insights, gain expertise and working with resources across broader teams to build world class products. Will be responsible for planning releases with correct priorities and providing insights for future investment plans.

As a subject matter expert, you will be participating in and assisting with user conferences. You will attend industry conferences and have direct conversations with customers to understand market trends and opportunities.

An ideal candidate will have prior experience in the airline industry, strong strategic thinking, analytical background and understanding of product development lifecycle.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and lead the go-to-market activities to support marketing, sales and other areas of the business to ensure revenue growth
  • this role is responsible for identifying, understanding, defining, and prioritizing business and market needs
  • Responsible for new features and taking them through the product lifecycle
  • Define and analyze product metrics, ensuring continuous growth in product value to existing and potential customers and to identify new value-generating opportunities.
  • Prioritize Product backlog, working closely with Engineering and product leaders to ensure roadmap execution
  • prepare executive presentations around roadmap and investment planning
  • Work closely with customers and partners to validate short- and long-term roadmap
  • Provide recommendations based on customer interactions and trends for product improvements and new features development

Other Job-Related Skills/Background

Licenses, certificates, registrations, or any relevant job skills or abilities that are required for the job.

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Management Information Systems, or similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical programming models such as LP/IP, network flow, graph theory, column generation, branch and bound and large-scale optimization, statistical and/or machine learning models for real-world optimization or predictive modeling problems.
  • Five years’ experience in optimization IT solutions used in the airline industry
  • Experience working with optimization and data driven solutions as a key user and/or support staff.
  • Understand principles of airline industry and airline operations.
  • Working knowledge of phases of the product life cycle, including engineering specifications, customer requirements gathering, software design and development, testing - including unit, functional, systems and integration, implementation/delivery and maintenance.
  • Strong strategic and technical background.
  • Ability to work and partner effectively with other teams.
  • Proven success leading end to product management lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communications skills with the ability to articulate product and business relationships and their benefits.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions and copes effectively with complexity and change.
  • Prior experience in the aviation industry preferred, for a shorter learning curve.
  • Ability to travel 20% to visit international customers and conferences.
