Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job Overview And Responsibilities

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and advocate for the commercial aircraft fleet’s overall mechanical and operational reliability performance. As the aircraft fleet focal, solve complex problems in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Planning, Data Analytics, and Predictive Maintenance. Develop strategic Fleet Roadmaps using facts/data and drive completion of the roadmap initiatives. Identify, prioritize, and drive top fleet mechanical/operational reliability improvement projects.

  • Develop strategies for execution of initiatives to drive overall fleet performance. Manage and review Fleet Top D&C (Delay & Cancel) reliability drivers, PIREP (Pilot Report), and OOS (Out of Service), working with key stakeholders to drive solutions
  • Own Senior Leadership Level fleet reliability meetings including overall fleet health slides and operational impact insights
  • Lead Tactical Operation meetings as required to address negative trending fleets or ATA systems and to address problematic aircraft and solidify recovery plans
  • Educate and communicate top drivers, solutions, and status to various stakeholders
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify aircraft reliability issues and coordinate solutions. Key Stakeholders include: Network Planning, Supply Chain, Tech Ops Planning, Engineering, Flight Ops, and OEMs
  • Coordinate and/or support ATA specific focus meetings to address negative trending ATAs and promote holistic solutions for improvements
  • Support industry level fleet reliability meetings with airframe manufacturers and partner with other operators to drive industry level reliability improvements
  • Visit field operations to learn local challenges and share insights on key drivers behind fleet reliability
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive top fleet mechanical/operational reliability improvement EA projects
  • Develop strategic Fleet Roadmaps using facts/data and drive completion of the roadmap initiatives

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL. and considered as a hybrid work-schedule working on a 2-3-days in office schedule, however, that may evolve with the needs of the company.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Technical Operations, Flight Operations, Aircraft system level design knowledge, Predictive Maintenance experience
  • 5 years’ of relevant experience
  • Must have experience with: Fleet Management, OEM Relationship Management, Aircraft Troubleshooting, Reliability Engineering, Data Analytics, Predictive Maintenance Analysis, Project Management, Maintenance Planning, and Cross-Divisional Change Management
  • Executive level presentation skills, complex problem solving, strong emotional intelligence, project management, change management
  • Must be willing and able to work a hybrid schedule, in-office at least 3 days a week at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL
  • Must be willing and able to travel 20% of the time domestic and international
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering
  • 10+ years’ of relevant experience
  • Advance data analytical and visualization skills
  • Private Pilot license
