Synopsis
We have several opportunities as a Business Development Specialist within the regional Steering and Business Development Management teams. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving Etihad's B2B sales channel performance for an assigned portfolio of markets, working closely with local sales leadership, frontline sales, HDQ, Revenue Management, Commercial Enablement and other stakeholders in the pursuit of RASK and quality revenue maximization. You will also lead the development of automated reports used for regular performance reviews
Accountabilities
Sales Strategy - Products & Programs:
- Implement analytical techniques, procedures, and systems to improve the evaluation of sales strategies and actions, including the effectiveness of incentive/commission programs, economic evaluation of corporate agreements, private fares and related programs.
Sales Planning:
- Drive robust sales planning ensuring country plans are completed in accordance with global guidelines.
- Maintain quality assurance of Etihad’s sales CRM, sales tools, and data sources
Sales Steering & Analysis:
- Proactively identify quality revenue and RASK maximization opportunities based on data analysis.
- Regular analysis and monitoring of market / competition for all segments and channels for assigned portfolio to identify threats and opportunities, with full commentary of performance drivers
- Contribute to the creation of action plans for assigned portfolio of markets Ensure that relevant market intelligence is regularly shared between local markets and HQ Drive positive engagement with local sales leadership, frontline sales, revenue management and other stakeholders
Education & Experience
- University degree in a related discipline and minimum 4-6 years’ work experience in a related field
- Strong team player, with cultural awareness & understanding required
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong business acumen
- Advanced Excel and data modelling skills
- Proficiency in programming languages ((e.g. Python / R / SQL / VBA)
- Experience in developing end to end automation processes, preferably in the airline industry
- Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written) / Interpersonal skills
- Solid systems literacy (Tableau, Power BI, SAP BI…)
