Associate, Technical Training

Primary Responsibilities
Primarily an Administrative role, this job also includes additional development and tasking as follows:
Administration (approximately 60% of role):
- Support LMS implementation, sustainment of structure and learning records for internal training
- Support external contracting of training (contracting, scheduling, coordinating, record-keeping)
- Support compilation of objective evidence to support audit compliance
- Support budget planning, forecast and ongoing tracking
- Other duties as required to support operation of the training function
Performance consulting:
- Determine when training will be an effective part of a solution to drive business results, and partner with stakeholders to support business solutions
Analysis:
- Consult with subject matter experts to extract job task knowledge and skill requirements
Research:
- Research / benchmark best practices for instructional methodologies and evaluation methods
Design:
- Design curricula to meet regulatory and business unit requirements, across the business unit
- Design and develop instructional materials to support a variety of learning transfer modalities including but not limited to e-learning, micro-learning, instructor-led training
Facilitation:
- Occasional facilitation to support the learning function
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to training function continuous improvement activities

Desired Education and Experiences
- College diploma / University degree (required), preferably in a field related to HR / learning function
- Experience supporting the learning function or adult learning is an asset
- Experience supporting HR, Environmental Health & Safety, or in an AS9100 environment is an asset
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and their implementation is an asset
- Experience working with e-learning authoring tools is an asset (ex. Articulate Storyline)
- Knowledge of adult training principles, concepts, instructional methods / techniques, is an asset
- Performance consulting knowledge / experience is an asset
