Overview of role:
The
Intermediate Digital Product Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and digital insights to help product or business teams (marketing, commercial) understand the impact of new features or experiences. You will partner with digital product owners or cross-functional teams to find opportunities that improve the guest experience or grow revenue.
As an intermediate analyst, you will contribute to conversion optimization objectives through a focus on the analysis of ecommerce, guest behavior and A/B testing. Playing a key role in success definitions, the intermediate analyst will work with analytics implementation team on tag strategies, helping to translate business questions into analytics requirements.
The analytics team uses scrum methodologies and practices agile principles that require you to participate in planning, refinement of stories, and delivery of sprints. You will form part of a community of experienced digital analysts that share best practices, promote our work, collaborate to solve problems, and encourage career growth.
Key deliverables / responsibilities include:
- Optimize product dashboards to monitor product performance and ensure decision makers can measure and speak to their product performance. You know how leverage them to derive insights and uncover change in guest behaviour to teams
- Use Adobe Analytics to provide insights and solve problems that go beyond the original request through your natural curiosity
- Partner with Digital product owners or business leads to discuss analytics needs and recommend KPI’s for their initiatives
- Actively provide behavioral insights to different stakeholders on initiatives or features with recommendations on how to improve the guest experience
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of WestJet digital assets, business models, digital marketing strategies and digital analytics frameworks and methodologies
- Foster a culture of data literacy and data-driven decision making by driving self-serve capabilities, always thinking about scalability
- Contribute to conversion optimization objectives through a focus on the analysis of guest behavior and exploratory insights, based on your own initiative
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or mathematics, or other related combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Digital Analysis (preferably in ecommerce) using enterprise platforms like Adobe/Google Analytics
- Understanding of how analytics implementations/tags work to create measurement plans, perform analysis and communicate with developers
- Y ou are curious by nature and have a proven track record of finding insights that help improve the guest experience
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with a proven ability to work autonomously in cross-functional teams and ability to work in a flexible team environment
- Strong process management skills, initiative, ability to manage competing priorities and attention to detail are critical
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to translate complex data, research and analysis into concise narratives and concepts
- Fundamental knowledge of a/b testing and conversion optimization practices.
