About the team
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Data Processing Engineer.
As a data processing engineer you work in a team that designs, develops and validates advanced signal and data processing algorithms for our radar and electro-optical systems.
About your future job
The extraction building block is the component in the radar system that extracts all the relevant physical information of possible targets out of a large stream of received data. The information that is extracted are, estimates of the range, direction of arrival (DOA) i.e. elevation and azimuth, radial velocity, and size of a target. For these estimates and other functionalities, algorithms need to be developed and maintained. Each algorithm needs a set of parameters in order to function optimally, and these parameters need to be tuned. Seldomly do products work as intended when switched on for the first time, so an important part of the job is to recognize and analyze problems when they occur and find elegant and efficient solutions to further optimize the building block.
Activities include among others:
- prototyping and analysis of algorithms;
- modelling of sensors, objects and their environments;
- validation and performance analysis of the extraction product and new algorithms;
- requirement engineering and stakeholder discussions.
Keywords for this job description include:
- State estimation;
- Bayesian processing;
- Stochastics;
- Model based system engineering (MBSE).
Why you'd be a good match
