The IT Systems Specialist will work as an integral part of the IT team, work with limited supervision on a range of IT system focused activities designed to achieve a high level of satisfaction after implementation of systems and solutions leading the continuous maintenance/updates to newly released features and functions. Apply industry best practices maintaining network infrastructure security, timely administering system upgrades, patches, and enhancements; supporting system audits, and meticulously document key system flows and operating procedures.
- Full time, located in Ashburn, VA.
Essential Functions
- As assigned, test and maintain continuous improvement of internal systems and solutions across through the duration of the system’s lifecycle to enhance operational efficiency with a strong focus on automation and optimization of systems and databases.
- Support team members deployment/maintenance of system feature updates, including managing system enhancements/updates and security configurations for 3rd party integrated platforms and tools.
- Develop and manage databases using the latest cloud technologies, including Data Lakes and Data Warehouses.
- Participate in global security initiatives to enhance and sustain the organization's security posture.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education & Experience
- Minimum high school diploma/certificate required.
- Preference associate degree (or international equivalent) in information technology field, or at least four (4+) years of relevant experience working in a similar corporate, hybrid IT infrastructure environment. Familiarity with Application Programming Interface (API) calls and Structured Query Language (SQL)queries is a plus.
- Minimum two (2) years in a system or database administrator role, and three (3) years of related experience and/or technical training focused on cybersecurity strongly preferred.
- Preferred experience with Active Directory, PowerShell, scripting, administering Microsoft Tools and Windows Operating Systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT best practices to include security policies, standards, and industry best practices. Familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, POS, etc. strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated intermediate level technical competence and experience with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint).
