About the role
Reporting to theProgram Manager,the Senior Project Manager Acquisition will own and deliver the JP9101 Acquisition Contract. This 10-year contract is delivering a comprehensive technology upgrade to the Australian Defence Forces’ High Frequency Communications System.
Based in Keswick, Adelaide you will be responsible for the integrated delivery and maintenance of the Program Performance Measurement Baseline to effectively monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the acquisition program and ensure that the project is delivered against agreed designs, timeframes, cost, and prescribed standards. This will include overseeing the an Earned Value management System (EVMS) and Contract Master Schedule (CMS) as well as the Acquisition Risk Register for the Program.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the JP9101 Acquisition Contract is delivered to time, cost & quality while tracking and recording any deviations.
- Manage the contract to maintain Profit margin as set by the business.
- Develop, embed and manage all control mechanisms (Risk Reviews, Program Configuration Change Boards, BCR Process, MR Drawdown).
- Apply EVMS principles and best practices to manage and effectively maintain budget and schedule.
- Provide leadership across JP9101, ensuring positive collaborative relationships with all stakeholders and the customer
- Manage the performance of multiple subcontractors ensuring they are meeting their contractual obligations.
To be successful you will bring:
- Significant PMO leadership or Senior project management experience across large and complex projects
- Defence industry experience preferred
- Demonstrable knowledge of structured Project Methodology and application
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or similar
- PRINCE/APM qualification or equivalent
- Leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with the department, customer and across the business
