TUI Airline Finance is a function within our airline organisation responsible for supporting the newly restructured TUI Airline Board in delivering against the strategic agenda and managing our continued transformation to a functionally led business with a single-airline mind-set.
As Finance Business Intelligence Analyst, you will project manage high profile financial and strategic projects across five European Airlines with a cost base of €4bn, through scoping business and technical requirements, model development, database management and BI analysis. You will develop robust financial databases and key processes to enable project development, implementation and monitoring phases; providing proportionate levels of control in a highly technical team.
The individual will support finance by liaising with Data Science to provide extraction and transformation of data through a centralised data warehouse, using a variety of software tools to provide the best experience for the end user.
About The Job
As Finance Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be responsible for:
- Working with subject matter experts across airline finance to manage analytics projects from start to finish, gathering and transforming data sources; creating bespoke financial models, which are automated where possible, and versatile to cope with extensive scenario testing
- Liaise and challenge stakeholders to understand business requirements to design and build business appropriate solutions to support
- Construct a detailed roadmap of all analytics and reporting requests across Airline Finance, giving priority to projects with the biggest financial and efficiency savings.
- Provide regular input & challenge to the Senior Leadership Team on progress versus roadmap targets, prioritisation of projects and financial savings achieved
- Deliver financial savings through understanding the commercial application of data insights to drive business decisions, prioritising projects with the biggest potential and proactively identifying new opportunities.
- Create bespoke financial models and databases using data management, transformation, and automation, ensuring versatility to cope with extensive business scenarios
- Maintain the airline finance data lake, ensuring appropriate controls are in place
- Build, deploy, and maintain reports to support the TUI airline budget process and cost base of €4bn. Ensuring these are accurate, effective, and understood by the business users and are in line with company development and design standards
- Build processes that enable non-technical users to load data sources that update bespoke built models within a software platform
- Building interactive, self-serve dashboards in Tableau and provide training to the business on how to use
- Provide ongoing and proactive quality assurance checks
- Continuously seek improvements to underlying processes and drive efficiency into the team
About You
Experience of relational databases and ETL processes
- Advanced user of SQL.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- A minimum of 2 years industry experience in a Business Intelligence role
- experience in data visualization (Tableau or similar)
- Proven track record of using data to implement change
- Javascript knowledge (desirable)
- Comfortable communicating complex insights to non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to prioritize and structure own workload, managing stakeholder expectations and timelines
- Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel
