Our Finance Team is growing and we're looking for our next superstar to join us as an
Inventory and Assets Officer.
As the
Inventory and Assets Officer you will be responsible for identifying and implementing inventory and logistics best practises, to enhance operational efficiency and reduce overall costs which will include:
- Coordination of national stocktake program (both rolling and annual)
- In conjunction with Inventory controller, prepare forecasts and usage models
- Assist with strategic coordination of national inventory holding.
- Review stock holdings for obsolescence and fleet applicability
- Identify opportunities for material sales
- Liaise with various teams to ensure all inventory costs are accurately transacted.
- Maintain and manage inventory in a cost-effective manner, in support of operational requirements
- Write and develop reports for relevant stakeholders on matters related to inventory and assets
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with current trends and developments associated with Aviation and Supply Chain
What are we looking for?
Ideally you will have completed studies in Finance, Aviation, Supply Chain or a related industry. Be familiar or gain an understanding of Dangerous Goods Awareness and hold a current and valid Drivers Licence.
This role is based onsite in our Head Office near Brisbane Airport.
Knowledge:
- Supply Chain and Warehousing policies and procedures
- Financial knowledge, including, but not limited to, accrual accounting and accounting for assets and inventory
- Significant experience working with Microsoft Excel, at an intermediate level (essential)
- Awareness of matters relating to Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to apply logic to processing of data
- Ability to prioritise, plan and organize work in consultation with team members to meet deadlines
- Focus on maintaining accuracy when completing tasks in accordance with work instructions
- Flexibility, with a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks
Experience:
- Experience with advanced finance, inventory and reporting systems
- Experience in the warehousing/stock management and managing relationships with external suppliers and customers
