The Maintenance Airworthiness Safety Controllerplays a key role in meeting our Qantas vision, ensuring our technical capability underpins the success of Qantas. This role is responsible for providing guidance and oversight to maintenance engineers, maintenance supervisory staff, and maintenance engineering management. This role must ensure safety and compliance standards with maintenance procedures and behaviours are met in accordance with Qantas Engineering (QE) safety vision and regulatory requirements.
This role partners closely with our Engineering staff as well as other group operations includingFleet Managementto ensure that QE Quality and Safety systems are followed and aconsistentapproach for aircraft maintenance is met. In addition, you will also accountable for the analysis and identification of key focus areas and develops strategies to address any deficiencies.
You’ll have –
Extensive experience and a tertiary qualification in aircraft/engine/component maintenance, Business or Aviation management or closely related high-tech, risk intensive industry
5-7+ years certification experience in Qantas Engineering Line and/or Base Maintenance environment
Recent certification experience in Qantas Engineering Line and/or Base Maintenance
Previous experience in a supervisory/leadership role
Demonstrated understanding in maintenance data systems
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to educate, lead and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proactive in your approach and enjoy finding solutions
