An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experimental Specialist Measurements Engineer to join our Special Test Measurements team within Measurement and Test Engineering.
Our team is accountable for all aspects of measurement methods and capability to support experimental, production and aftermarket requirements.
In this role, you will lead a small number of engineers within the team, will manage projects and work closely with the Electronic Design Team. The Electronic Design Team look after design/application of systems, electronic and software technologies. They provide solutions to a wide range of electronic ground support equipment and engineering measurement problems in a global engine development and test arena. You will be responsible for delivery of a mixed portfolio of new and mature capabilities via the Electronic Design Team and delivery of Electronic Ground Support Equipment to internal Rolls-Royce customers and a vast network of global external customers.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. What you will be doing:
Your role will involve both direct and indirect leadership responsibility, project management and acting as an interface between a number of different areas within Rolls-Royce. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the workload and resource demand for a variety of electronic packages of work including telemetry and signal conditioning.
- Ensuring delivery of our EGSE portfolio by managing our supply-chain and developing processes to streamline our design and sales processes.
- Delivering our projects and products to customers on time: utilising load and capacity tools to manage workload and demand.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standards to ensure conformance to engineering specifications, and for promoting a product safety culture in the organisation.
Who we’re looking for

- Degree level or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Ideally you have experience in Electronics Design but this is not essential.
- Leadership and team working skills.
- Ideally you have led a team within an engineering environment.
- A proven record of delivering projects through the full product lifecycle.
