Essential Responsibilities
Proactively coordinate, manage and drive the engagement and communication calendar for the applicable HR functions;
- Provide overall office management and administrative duties such as phone coverage, call screening, calendar management, memos and letters for Human Resources Department;
- Direct business contacts to appropriate managers;
- Coordinate schedules for hiring, training, all hands, round tables and other HR related needs;
- Prepare HR presentations, reports, spreadsheets, meeting minutes and other business information;
- Provide discrete and confidential coordination of sensitive company information;
- Anticipate needs and accomplish responsibilities without much direction or supervision;
- Manage multiple projects and priorities and initiate follow-up to ensure timely achievement of commitments;
- Provide support for HR functions including payroll, time keeping, benefits, employee hiring, onboarding, training, medical leave, and other HR duties as required;
- Assist with employee relations and engagement activities
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an executive or administrative assistant position).
- Prior HR experience within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting;
- Ability to prioritize and anticipate needs;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information;
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and handle stressful and difficult situations effectively;
- Knowledgeable of GE policies / procedures;
- Ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to maintain absolute security of highly confidential information;
- Internet proficiency and knowledge of web- based applications;
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Word and Excel);
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
