- Management of the IPR authorization:
- Ensure use of existing authorization is maximized.
- Management of the broker to ensure timely and accurate declarations.

- Compliance checks on import and export entries

- Regular checks on the accuracy of the HTS records in Farnborough
- Checks with suppliers to confirm accuracy of HTS codes
- Rulings sought where required
- ECCN and export control management
- Working with the relevant teams in Gulfstream and suppliers to ensure all goods are correctly classified
- Ensuring current database is up to date
- Management of licence applications and returns
- Support for implementation of CBAM in the UK
- General understanding of the principles of CBAM
- Ensuring the business has adequate records to implement CBAM
- General support to the Senior Compliance Officer
- Support to AEO application
- Supporting and confirming claims for origin
- Training of various teams in Gulfstream
- Reporting on savings made
- Support on applications for duty reliefs
Supervision of Specialists
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years experience in trade compliance. 2 years experience in Project Management, or related experience.
Position Purpose:Under general direction, develop, implement and manage Trade Compliance projects within the scope of assigned responsibility, and provide subject matter expertise concerning application of trade compliance laws and regulations, corporate policies and procedures.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
- Manage assigned projects within scope, cost and schedule using available project management tools and systems.
- Support Trade Compliance team with project management, issue resolution and solution development.
- Provide subject matter expertise in trade compliance laws and regulations.
- Successfully employ Lean Six Sigma tools to analyze existing trade compliance processes and identify improvement opportunities in both manual and automated systems.
- Analyze and recommend modifications to corporate processes to ensure compliance with trade laws and regulations, and lead efforts to bring corporate process in line with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
- Ensure accurate trade classifications for hardware, software, and technology.
- Resolve areas of compliance risk through active solution development and risk mitigation. .
- Conduct trade compliance training, and manage development of new training materials and programs.
- Participate in audits and factual investigations concerning trade compliance matters.
Additional Functions:
- Additional functions will be dictated by the specific responsibilities of the position. .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
- Project Management certification preferred.
- Brokers license, or other export/import certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a multi-disciplined matrix team.
- Ability to effectively learn and operate within Gulfstream enterprise systems, web-based applications and 3rd party productivity software, including, but not limited to: SAP, GTS, CAS, Corridor, Oracle, Sales Logix, Livelink, P-DocM, Cognos, SmarTeam, Visual Compliance, CMP.Net , Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Projects, IPC, Adobe suite.
- Excellent understanding of all relevant US Trade regulations such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and Customs regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Applicant must be a US Citizen, or Green Card holder.
- Applicant must demonstrate organizational and critical thinking skill.
