Job Summary

The Manager Network Operation Control (NOC) Engineering invests in our Purpose by providing coordination, direction, and guidance to assigned projects within the Operations Engineering group. This role manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex projects and serves as a Company resource for operations engineering and aircraft performance capabilities and regulations.The Manager NOC Engineering is a strategic thinker and skilled communicator, who is excited about the opportunity to guide and develop this Team while supporting the NOC.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for the development, management, and oversight of takeoff, en-route and landing aircraft performance systems as required by FAR Part 25 and 121
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of aircraft performance data systems to support the safe and efficient operation of the airline
- Ensure that system implementations meet the aircraft performance requirements from manufacturer's FAA Approved Flight Manuals or other source material
- Provide guidance in the development and maintenance of aircraft performance systems and supporting data, including the aircraft performance applications, flight planning systems, Performance Weight & Balance system, and other applicable department systems
- Provide engineering support to other groups within the Company, including NOC, Flight Operations, and Ground Operations in regards to aircraft performance capability and regulation.
- Provide support and representation to external groups, including airport authorities, manufacturers, vendors, regulators, trade associations and consultants
- Plan and direct engineering activities in the development and integration of new technologies, applications, and operational capabilities (such as ETOPS and international flights) into the Operations
- Oversee the Engineering Team, providing timely performance feedback
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
- Skilled in verbal and written communication and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of personnel and disciplines inside and outside the Company
- Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Skilled in project management
- Ability to set and communicate a clear direction and gain buy in and support
- Ability to work with others as part of a Team and work under stressful situations
- Ability to provide timely feedback and coach and develop Team Members
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading teams(s)
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
- Airline or manufacturer experience in aerodynamics and/or aircraft performance engineering
- Project management
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Ability to travel and work extended hours based on operational needs
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $151,400 per year to 168,200 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
