Role Introduction
Reports to: Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager β Strategic Projects & Change Management
The Procurement COE team is responsible to establishing and promoting best practices, driving standardisation, and identifying areas of continuous improvement of the S2P process across the procurement function. In addition to driving discipline and efficiency across the organisation, this individual will also enable knowledge / capability management and provide support to the category teams on strategic procurement best practices.
As part of a centralized team responsible for organizing and tracking of all strategic procurement initiatives, this role plays a critical role in ensuring such initiatives align with organizational goals and priorities; providing visibility into project status; and facilitating communication and collaboration among stakeholders. In addition, this role helps to lead and ensure successful implementation of strategic improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop plans and roadmaps to implement strategic and continuous improvement initiatives coming from GPOs and S2P Governance Committee.
- Ensure strategic initiatives align with organization goals and facilitate S2P Governance Committee in prioritizing these initiatives.
- Oversee project activities led by Procurement and Aircraft Trading (APD) from conception to completion, ensuring projects align with business objectives, deliver on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards.
- Manage and allocate resources across APD and business stakeholders for improvement initiative implementation.
- Monitor, track and report on project progress and measure performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Formulate and automate reports in the form of project management dashboards.
- Identify and flag potential project risks to management in a timely manner to ensure any potential issues/risks are addressed/mitigated promptly.
- Establish effective communication channels and mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide status tracking for all ongoing sourcing projects led by category managers to APD and business stakeholders as needed.
- Provide regular reports to senior management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related discipline, with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Solid experience in planning and executing projects with the ability to prioritize and overcome any roadblocks.
- Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations.
- Ability to manage project resources efficiently while ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, especially to management and other diverse stakeholders.
- Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Self-starter with a βcan doβ attitude, attention to detail, and ability to drive results independently.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Previous experience and knowledge of the end-to-end S2P processes is an advantage.
- Competency in project management software tools and methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights and leverage them to drive decision-making.
